Iowa came away with a big win on Saturday night at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, but that 18-17 victory over in-state rival Iowa State only resulted in a minor bump in one of the major Top 25 polls.

The 3-0 Hawkeyes retained the No. 18 spot in the Amway Coaches Poll, which the Register's parent company maintains, and rose one spot to No. 18 in the Associated Press poll.

Iowa returns to play on Sept. 28 when it hosts Middle Tennessee State.
