Kentucky has expressed interest in Oskaloosa five-star power forward Xavier Foster.

Xavier Foster, a star sophomore at Oskaloosa High School, shown here Oct. 30, 2017, at the high school gym. Foster has become one of the nation’s most sought-after basketball prospects. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound forward is considered a consensus top-25 recruit in the 2020 class. He landed three Division I offers before his freshman season at Oskaloosa, and enters his sophomore year with at least two more.

Wildcats assistant coach Joel Justus called Foster's dad, DaJuan Foster, to talk about Xavier on Friday, DaJuan told the Register.

Kentucky is the latest blue-blood program to express interest in Oskaloosa's elite 2020 prospect. Foster received an offer from UCLA last week, and Kansas has had an eye on him since his freshman year.

Friday marked the first day college coaches could directly contact prospects in the 2020 class. Some other schools that reached out to Foster on Friday: Iowa, Iowa State, Ohio State, Texas, Michigan and Florida State, DaJuan Foster said.

Foster holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, UCLA, USC, Creighton, Illinois, Missouri, Texas A&M and Baylor. Now, he adds Kentucky to his laundry list of interest, along with Kansas, Cal, Xavier, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Texas, Florida State, Virginia and Oklahoma State.
