'It was a gut feeling': In-state OL Noah Fenske commits to Iowa Hawkeyes

The Hawkeyes have added their fourth recruit in the Class of 2019.

Noah Fenske, an in-state offensive lineman from New Hampton, committed to Iowa on Friday afternoon via Twitter.

What made Fenske pick the Hawkeyes?

"It was a gut feeling," he told HawkCentral. "I felt like I was at home."

Iowa offered Fenske (6-foot-5, 280 pounds) on Feb. 17 at the program's first junior day. He picked the Hawkeyes over offers from North Dakota and South Dakota State. Iowa State was also showing interest, and he attended a Cyclones junior day Feb. 24.

Fenske, who also throws and plays basketball for New Hampton, helped pave the way for a rushing attack that amassed 1,808 rushing yards last season. He also added 24 tackles, four solo tackles for loss and three solo sacks as a defensive lineman.

The 247Sports Composite gives Fenske three stars and ranks him the No. 8 2019 prospect in Iowa. Rivals does not have him rated yet. 

Fenske is Iowa's fourth pledge for the 2019 class. He joins fellow in-state offensive linemen Tyler Endres (Norwalk) and Ezra Miller (Ridge View), along with tight end Logan Lee (Orion, Ill.).
