Iowa to host Florida State in Big Ten/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge

The Iowa women’s basketball team will host Florida State on Nov. 29 as part of the 2017 Big Ten/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge, the school announced Wednesday morning.

Tip time and TV coverage will be announced at a later date.

The Iowa women’s basketball team will host Florida State on Nov. 29 as part of the 2017 Big Ten/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge, the school announced Wednesday morning.

It will be the first matchup between the two teams since the 2012 Big Ten/ACC Women’s Basketball Challenge, which saw the Seminoles upend Iowa, 83-69, in Tallahassee, Fla.

Florida State finished 28-7 last season and reached the Elite Eight before falling to eventual national champion South Carolina. The Seminoles closed the year ranked No. 7 in the USA TODAY poll. Iowa, meanwhile went 20-14 a year ago and advanced to the WNIT quarterfinals.
