Arkansas hires away Iowa women's assistant coach Lacey Goldwire

IOWA CITY, Ia. — Iowa women's basketball assistant coach Lacey Goldwire has been hired to the same position at Arkansas, the university confirmed to HawkCentral on Thursday.

The Razorbacks sent out a news release regarding the hire Thursday afternoon.

Iowa women's basketball assistant Tracey Goldwire is leaving the program to take a similar position at Arkansas.

 

Goldwire spent four years on head coach Lisa Bluder's staff, primarily working with Iowa's wing players. She was also the team's recruiting coordinator.

She was an assistant coach at Morehead State for the 2012-13 season. Goldwire was a student assistant at Oklahoma State from 2008-10 before serving as a graduate assistant there from 2010-12. She became an interim assistant coach for the Big 12 Conference school in November of 2011 and took on a larger role in recruiting.

An Oklahoma City native, Goldwire played at East Central Oklahoma University in college.
