Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz joins this week’s Hawk Central radio show … for the entire hour. And it’s an episode you’ll enjoy.

In a sit-down interview with Register columnist Chad Leistikow, the 20th-year boss of Hawkeye football details some of the lesser-known parts of his coaching journey — from coaching girls basketball to the unsolved mystery of how Bill Belichick discovered him at Maine in the mid-1990s.

Ferentz also details some of the most memorable of his 143 wins — from the early days when the program was looking to find traction to the emotional win after his father’s death to some of the most jaw-dropping finishes in Hawkeye history.

He even answers the question: Jordan or LeBron?

Like we said, it’s must-listen radio.
