Disterhoft, Gustafson named All-Big Ten; Doyle makes freshman team
IOWA CITY, Ia. — The Big Ten released its postseason awards Monday, and for the first time since 2001, three Iowa Hawkeyes received honors.
Megan Gustafson was named to the All-Big Ten first team by the conference's coaches and media. Ally Disterhoft earned a spot on the coaches' first team and the media's second team. And Kathleen Doyle made the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
Iowa now boasts 20 first-team and nine freshman team members in program history. This is Gustafson's first All-Big Ten team award; she made the All-Freshman team last year. This is Disterhoft's third straight postseason honor and her first first-team selection.
