Iowa's Jok named preseason all-Big Ten Conference

Iowa senior guard Peter Jok was selected to the preseason all-Big Ten Conference men's basketball team Tuesday.

Jok, a graduate of West Des Moines Valley High School, averaged 16.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season and was named second team all-Big Ten. He is the Hawkeyes' lone returning starter.

The preseason all-Big Ten team of 10 players was voted on by a panel of conference media members.

Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes was chosen as the Big Ten preseason player of the year. He was the only unanimous pick for the all-Big Ten team.
